The treatments
We offer four permanent make-up treatments. Powder Brows give the brow a soft, powdered finish, as if a light make-up has been applied. The result looks fuller than a bare brow but still very natural. Suitable for almost any skin type. Microblading and Combi Brows add fine hair strokes to the brow. With Microblading these are hand-drawn individual strokes. Combi Brows combines that technique with a light powder shading for more depth and a longer-lasting result. Eyeliner top and bottom draws a line along the lash line. This can be thin and subtle or more defined, entirely based on your preference. A great option if you want to save time every morning. Lip Blush adds colour and a sharper outline to the lips without looking heavily made-up. The shade is matched to your natural lip colour and skin tone so the result looks fresh and your own. The process: intake to touch-up
Everything starts with an intake consultation. We discuss your wishes, assess the shape and colour that suit you best and take time to answer any questions. Nothing is applied until you are happy with the design. During the first session we apply the pigment. The treatment takes between one and two hours depending on the area. Immediately after, the colour appears more intense than the final result. That is normal. Over the first week the shade softens as the skin heals. Four to eight weeks later comes the touch-up session. We correct any spots that absorbed less pigment and refine the result to your satisfaction. This session is part of the full treatment and is important for a beautiful end result.
Results and how long they last
Permanent make-up is not truly permanent. On average results last between one and three years, but this varies per person. Skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and how well aftercare instructions are followed all play a role. Oily skin tends to break down pigment faster than dry skin. After some time a refresh session can renew the result. This gives you control over how it looks and allows minor adjustments if your preferences change. The final result after the touch-up is always more subtle than right after the first session. Most clients are pleasantly surprised by how natural it looks.
Aftercare and healing
The first few days after the treatment the skin needs a little extra care. Keep the treated area dry and avoid touching it as much as possible. Scratching or rubbing is strongly advised against: it can remove pigment and disturb the healing process. For the first two weeks avoid direct sunlight, saunas, swimming pools and steam treatments. With brows, do not use exfoliating creams or serums on the treated area. With lip blush it is wise to avoid very hot drinks in the first few days. Who is permanent make-up suitable for
Permanent make-up suits most people who want a long-lasting result and prefer to save time in the morning. It is popular among people with thin or asymmetrical brows, light lash lines or lips that could use more colour. Are you pregnant or breastfeeding? We advise postponing the treatment. Frequently asked questions
Does permanent make-up hurt?
A numbing cream is used, so most people experience only light pressure or a mild tingling sensation. Pain is rarely an issue. Sensitivity varies per person and per area. Lips tend to be slightly more sensitive than brows.
How long does permanent make-up last?
On average one to three years. Skin type, lifestyle and aftercare largely determine how long the pigment holds well. A refresh session can extend the result over time.
Is a touch-up necessary?
Yes, the touch-up after four to eight weeks is part of the full treatment. Pigment is never absorbed one hundred percent evenly by everyone. The touch-up corrects this and ensures an even, beautiful final result.
What does it look like directly after the treatment?
Right after the treatment the colour is more intense and the brows, eyeliner or lips may appear slightly swollen or red. This fades within a few days. In the first week the colour softens considerably, which can sometimes seem alarming. This is normal: the true result only shows after the full healing period of four to six weeks.
Who is permanent make-up less suitable for?
During pregnancy, breastfeeding, with certain skin conditions or specific medication use we advise consulting a doctor first. During the intake we discuss your situation and give honest advice. There is never any pressure to book right away.
How do we decide on the shape and colour?
We decide that together during the intake. We measure and draw the shape before applying anything and adjust it until you are fully happy. For colour we look at your hair colour, skin tone and personal preference. Nothing is finalised until you give your approval.
